Adding Areas to Template Pages

Do you want to create areas in your template pages and make your users add content to them?

Here how it is shown to users in the user menu, when you add areas from your admin panel:

For this, you should add areas to your template pages in Dijitals CMS.

In our example, there is one template page which is "page.php". Open the file in an editor:

For example, lets say have added three areas to the page.php.

* page_main
* page_sidebar
* page_footer

Now we have to add these areas to Dijitals CMS. Goto the page "Update Template" in your Templates List.

Then click on "Edit Template Page" icon of the template page you have created before.

As you can see, there are no areas added yet. Click on the "Add New Area" link at the bottom of the page.

Now add the details of the area you are adding. Please remember that the name of the area should be the same with the code you have added to your file (page.php).

You can alternatively add an image that represents the area of the template page.

The width of the area should be determined according to your layout style of your file.

Then give a friendly name to the area and click on "Add Template Page Area".

And now you've created one area in the page. Following the same procedures, you can create unlimited areas to your pages.

For example, I  have created 4 different areas in my page, you can see below how they are listed:
